Request Account Deletion

Effective: May 22, 2026

You have the right to delete your Otis Edge account and the personal data associated with it. There are two ways to do this. This page explains both.

Option 1 — Delete your account in the app (recommended)

This is the fastest way, and it doesn't require contacting us.

  1. Open the Otis Edge app and sign in.
  2. Go to Profile → Account → Delete account.
  3. Re-enter your password, acknowledge the warning, and tap Delete my account.

Your account is disabled the moment you confirm. You'll be signed out on every device, and push notifications will stop.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

Use this option if you no longer have access to the app or can't sign in. Email privacy@otisedge.com from the email address you used to register, and include:

  1. Your registered email address — the email tied to your Otis Edge account.
  2. Confirmation that you want your account and data deleted.

Sending from your registered email lets us verify the request belongs to you. We typically reply within one business day.

Hello Otis Edge Privacy Team,
I am requesting deletion of my Otis Edge account and associated personal data.
Registered email: [your email here]
Please confirm receipt and let me know when the deletion is complete.

What happens after you delete

Deletion follows a 30-day grace period, so you can change your mind.

  • Day 0 — Account disabled. Your account is deactivated immediately. You're signed out on every device and push notifications stop.
  • Days 1–30 — Grace period. You can restore your account at any time by signing back in with your email and password. Once restored, your data is available again exactly as you left it.
  • Day 30 — Permanent deletion. Your account and the personal data linked to it are permanently deleted. After this point, restoration is no longer possible.

What gets deleted

Once the 30-day grace period ends, we permanently delete:

  • Your profile (display name, handle, preferences)
  • Your sign-in credentials and active sessions
  • Your Otis Edge subscription and entitlement records (these are our records — they are separate from Apple or Google billing)
  • Your in-app activity, including the analysts you follow and any in-app submissions
  • Device identifiers and push notification registrations

What we may retain

Some records must be kept to comply with legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution obligations. Where retention is required, the data is locked from further use and deleted once the retention period ends. Aggregated, de-identified analytics that cannot be linked back to you may also be retained.

Cancel your subscription separately

If you have an active subscription, you must cancel it through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Deleting your Otis Edge account does not cancel a subscription billed by Apple or Google, and we cannot cancel those subscriptions on your behalf.

  • iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions
  • Android: Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
